The Position

WorqHat is seeking a highly motivated and skilled UI/UX Designer to join our Design team and support our Tech team. The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge and experience with various design tools and techniques, and will play a key role in designing and maintaining WorqHat's applications for scalability and growth. You will have the opportunity to work within an innovative, high-performance team and with cutting edge technologies in a dynamic and agile environment. The Design department is divided into Brand and Product design teams. The Brand design team focuses on taking the WorqHat brand forward through visual identity, powerful storytelling, and motion design. The Product design team crafts the user experience on our platform, building the best UX and working closely with developers. Our designers are encouraged to take initiative and drive the WorqHat brand and experience forward. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the design team to understand user needs and create user-centered designs for WorqHat's web and mobile applications
  • Assist in creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts
  • Help to conduct user research and testing to validate design decisions
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure the design is implemented correctly
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies, and incorporate them into the design as appropriate
  • Work with the design team to ensure consistency in visual design across all web and mobile applications
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the design
  • Help to maintain and improve the overall design's quality, performance, and usability
  • Participate in the deployment and monitoring of the design in production environments
  • Help to create and maintain design guidelines and best practices
  • Communicate progress and status updates to the design team and project manager
  • Participate in meetings and presentations to present design concepts and solutions
  • Help to create and maintain a design library
  • Provide training and support to the development team on design best practices
  • Learn from experienced designers and grow your skills in user-centered design, visual design, and design thinking.

Requirements

  • Are available for the work from home internship for a duration of minimum 3 months
  • Internship Timeline: Internship will begin immediately
  • Internship Type: Work From Home, Part-time
  • Working Hours: 4-6 Hours a day, 22 days in a month (Total 88-132 hours in a month)
  • Laptop & Wi-Fi: Laptop & Wi-Fi should be available with the interns for working on the assigned projects.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
  • Strong portfolio that showcases your ability to design user-centered interfaces for web and mobile applications
  • Experience with design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or similar
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
  • Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and user testing
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles and typography
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for user experience and design
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Strong drive and motivation to grow your skills and knowledge in the field of UI/UX design.
