The Position

WorqHat is looking for a Front End Designer to Support our Tech Team, who has a broad knowledge and experience with various design tools and techniques that will help to design and maintain Worqhat’s applications scale and growth. You will join an innovative, high-performance team and work with cutting edge technologies, in a dynamic and agile environment. Our Design department includes the Brand and Product design teams. The Brand design focuses on taking the WorqHat brand forward through visual identity, powerful storytelling, strong creative and motion and design. The Product design team crafts the user experience on our platform, building the best UX and working alongside developers. Responsibilities

  • Thorough product design process - from UX to UI, including multiple solutions to complex and challenging product tasks and deep understanding of the problem you need to solve.
  • Designing and implementing new features and features enhancements
  • Partner with engineers to oversee that the user experience is simple, straightforward, and elegant.
  • Drive the evolution of the front-end architecture and technology composition by working in collaboration with other engineers across the company
  • Proactively participate and effect every aspect of the software development lifecycle including architecture, design, implementation, test design, test implementation, optimization, and delivery
  • Adapt new technologies
  • Lead the design and development of the front-end architecture for the company's web and mobile applications
  • Collaborate with the design and development teams to create and implement user-centered designs and interfaces
  • Develop and maintain a reusable component library to ensure consistency and efficiency across all web and mobile applications
  • Ensure the front-end architecture is optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and best practices, and incorporate them into the architecture as appropriate
  • Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and debug issues, and ensure the platform's scalability and growth
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the platform
  • Communicate progress and status updates to the development team and project manager
  • Help define and establish front-end development standards and guidelines.
  • Help maintain and improve the overall codebase's quality, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the front-end architecture aligns with the company's overall technical strategy
  • Provide training and support to the development team on the front-end architecture and best practices
  • Participate in the deployment and monitoring of front-end applications in production environments.

Requirements

  • Are available for the work from home internship for a duration of minimum 3 months
  • Internship Timeline: Internship will begin immediately
  • Internship Type: Work From Home, Part-time
  • Working Hours: 4-6 Hours a day, 22 days in a month (Total 88-132 hours in a month)
  • Laptop & Wi-Fi: Laptop & Wi-Fi should be available with the interns for working on the assigned projects.
  • Strong experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with building and maintaining reusable component libraries
  • Experience with performance optimization and debugging techniques
  • Strong understanding of web and mobile development principles and best practices
  • Experience with Git and version control systems
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior developers
  • Familiarity with web development technologies such as Node.js, GraphQL, and RESTful APIs is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus
  • Experience with real-world projects or projects in competition is a plus.
  • Experience with accessibility, browser compatibility and cross-browser support.
  • A portfolio that showcases your ability to design and develop engaging, user-centered interfaces.
